    integration of technology disciplines

Modern industry requires high-degree integration of different disciplines in science and technology. In keeping up with this trend, WuFeng Institute of Technology founded the graduate school of Opto-Mechatronics and Material on August 1, 2004. This graduate school  incorporates WuFeng¡¦s senior professional teachers and research resources in the departments of electronic engineering, electric engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and information engineering. The main objectives and research areas will be focused on the technology integration of opto-electronics, electro-mechanics, as well as the digital communication and control  technologies. The graduate school will offer master degrees at its beginning.

Teaching faculty

The faculty of the graduate school includes those faculty in the departments of electrical engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and information engineering. Currently the graduate school has five full time professors, six associate professors, and six assistant professors as well as other professors in the related departments. We are still recruiting experienced teaching faculties with Ph.D. degree from famous universities and related industries.

Graduate Study Areas

The graduate school will focus the research on the following fields: opto-electronic devices and material, VLSI semiconductor technology, computer and communication technology, precision measurement and mechanical system, high-tech energy efficient material development, etc.. The research groups will cooperate with related domestic high-tech industries so that the student can get the  first-hand real experience from his(her) graduate study. It is expected earnestly that the Institute will ultimately become a school known not only for its academic researches but also for its interdisciplinary training of high-tech professionals.
